Program considerations and recommendations

Critical elements to consider when planning this type of program: Must have a staff member to secure packet information, stuff and mail to new graduates and/or contract our this service; have a budget for printing, purchasing and mailing.

Approximate cost to agency/organization to implement program: $120000.00

Approximate staff effort required to implement program: We contract out with a local company to stuff and mail each starter kit. One full time MDC staffs secures all of the items, sends to the company. If any are returned due to incorrect addresses, that staff double checks for a corrected address.
